Friday, August 21

We were all getting excited as soon as we arrived at the Palais de Congrès, the venue of the 12th CFC FFL European Conference as well as the European Kids Congress. We all expected all in all 50 Kids all around Europe. Some of the Kids we already knew from the last EKC last year, so it was a happy reunion. There were also Kids we didn’t know yet so it was the chance to get to know them. We all joined the Food Festival of the CFC FFLs and later also enjoyed their competition “Europe’s Got Talent”. It was important that the Kids joined their parents on the first day, so us, the Service Team concentrated more on preparing for the next two days. Little did we know that the next two days would become one of our most stressful, exhausting but also exciting and fun experiences of 2009.

Saturday, August 22

The morning started with a small disappointment. Even though there were around 50 Kids registered, most of the Kids didn’t want to join the EKC and they rather wanted to stay with their parents.
